From 1969 to 2014, the property was a family estate owned by J.R. André Bombardier, son of the famous inventor Joseph Armand Bombardier. It is a modern building with some twenty rooms on 19 acres of land, designed by architect and painter Jacques De Blois. The residence is flanked by Brandy Creek and Pont Cousineau, a covered bridge dating from 1880s. The house is bathed in sunlight and features inspiring spaces.

A few years after founding L-A BE, his cultural development company, Louis-Armand Bombardier took over his father's house and converted it into Studio B-12, named after his grandfather's famous snowmobile.
